If you walk through Gautam Nagar, you’ll find us over at 201-k. Mayur Batra Co. Chartered Accountant has been operating out of this New Delhi office for some time. It is a typical workspace with desks, chairs, and a lot of calculators lying around. We don't have a giant sign or anything, just a simple setup where the work happens. Gautam Nagar is a crowded area, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We’ve grown used to it by now. The office is usually filled with the sound of keys clicking and paper rustling. Most of our day is spent looking at tax forms and balance sheets. It isn't glamorous, but it is what we do. We don't use big words to describe ourselves because we are just regular people working a job. Some days are longer than others, especially when deadlines are close. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going. The filing cabinets are getting pretty full, so we might need to reorganize soon. It is a bit cramped, but it works for us. Living and working in New Delhi means dealing with the heat and the crowds, but being in Gautam Nagar feels like being in the heart of things. We just keep our heads down and focus on the numbers until the day is over. The routine is the same every week, and we like the stability of it.
