Mayank Properties

You can find Mayank Properties right on Barakhamba Road, inside the Indra Prakash Building at number 21. It is a very busy part of the city with lots of people in suits rushing around. Our office is just one of many in this big building. We deal with property stuff, mostly helping people find a place to stay or an office space. It’s a lot of phone calls and looking through lists of addresses. Some days are slow and we just sit and wait for the phone to ring, and other days it doesn't stop. The office has big windows but they get dusty pretty fast from all the traffic outside. We have a small table for guests and a filing cabinet that is getting too full. It isn't a fancy real estate firm like you see on TV. We just know the local area well and try to help people out. My father started this years ago and now I'm here doing the same thing. Barakhamba is a landmark area, so it is easy for people to find us. We don't use much technology besides our phones and an old laptop. It is mostly about talking to people and knowing who is selling or renting. We keep it simple. It is a lot of walking around to show properties too. That is just part of the job here. We hope to stay in this building for many more years. There is always something happening.
