Our place is at E-47, which is on the first floor in Om Vihar Extension, specifically near Kh No. 7/12 in Uttam Nagar. It is a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to the layout of the extension. Uttam Nagar is very densely populated, so there’s always something happening right outside our door. Being on the first floor is nice because we are just above the street level, so we can see what’s going on without being right in the middle of the dust. The Master Lekhraj Memorial Foundation Of office is basically a couple of rooms that we’ve set up with basic furniture. We have a lot of books and registers stacked up on the shelves. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t spend money on fancy rugs or expensive lighting; we just use what we have. The air can get a bit stuffy, so we usually have a small cooler running in the corner during the warmer months. Most of our day involves dealing with local people who come in with questions or just checking through our various records. It’s a quiet life inside the office, even if it’s noisy outside. We have a small balcony where we sometimes take a break to get some fresh air. It’s a very normal, local operation we have going here. We just try to keep things moving along steadily every day.
