Mangal Dass & Sons

Mayapuri Industrial Area Phase-II is a place where you can find almost anything if you look hard enough. Our shop, Mangal Dass & Sons, is at Plot No. D-142, right near the Punjab National Bank. You can hear the bank customers and the heavy trucks all day long. This business has been around for a while, passed down through the family, and we still do things the old-fashioned way. We have heavy machinery that makes a lot of noise, and the floor is always vibrating from something. It is a gritty environment, full of iron scraps and the sound of hammers. We don't spend money on fancy signs or shiny floors. All our resources go into the equipment we use to get the jobs done. Working in Mayapuri means you have to be tough and ready for a long day. We see a lot of different people coming through, from small shop owners to big contractors. Sometimes we have a tea break and sit on the crates outside just to catch a bit of air. We don't have any grand stories to tell about our history. We just know that we’ve been here at D-142 for years and we plan to stay as long as there is work to do. It’s a life built on metal and hard work, and we are okay with that. It is just us, the machines, and the dust of Phase-II every single day. We don't need much else to keep things moving along.
