Started this place at Plot No B 129 in Okhla. It’s a busy spot right by Phase 1, close to where Tata Steel is. We deal with heavy lifting and getting people to do the hard work on-site. Mostly it is about moving stuff that’s too big for a couple of guys to handle. The cranes stay busy most of the week. It gets noisy around here with all the trucks coming in. I’ve lived in Delhi a long time and seen this area change. Most days start early before the sun is even up properly. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the next job call. There’s a lot of grease and dust involved. Sometimes the machines act up but we fix them and keep going. It isn't fancy work. It's just what we do to pay the bills. People know us for being there when they need a lift. The gate is usually open. If you pass the Tata building, you’ll find us easily. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. Just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk about the day’s schedule. My cousin helps with the labor management. It's a lot to keep track of but we manage. Some days are slower than others, but that’s just how it is in the industrial area. We keep the cranes ready and the boys know their jobs. When the heat gets bad in summer, we just slow down a bit and keep moving. It's how things work here.
