Mahavir Store

If you are looking for our shop, we are at Plot N-19/A-2 in Dilshad Garden. We are very close to Suraksha Nursing Home, which is a good landmark if you get lost in the lanes. Mahavir Store has been around for a while, and it’s a typical neighborhood spot. We stock a bit of everything—soaps, lentils, some snacks, and the usual household things people realize they ran out of at the last minute. The shelves are packed pretty tight, so sometimes you have to move one box to see what is behind it. It’s a small space, but we try to keep the things people actually need daily. I usually open up early in the morning because that’s when the milk delivery comes and people are heading to work. My son helps out in the evenings when it gets crowded with families doing their grocery shopping. We don't have those fancy scanners or big bright lights like the supermarkets. We just use a notebook to keep track of things and talk to our customers about how their families are doing. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road outside, and we have to hurry up and unload everything before the traffic gets annoyed. It’s just a normal, local store where we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. We just keep working and making sure the bins are full of fresh stock.
