Our place is on the ground floor of a building in West Patel Nagar, specifically 22/123. It is a decent spot in New Delhi-8, though the traffic outside can be pretty distracting during the rush hours. M I T has been here for a while now. The room is not very big, just enough for a few desks and some chairs for people to sit on while they wait. We have a small cooler in the corner that rattles when the pump is on, but it keeps the air moving. My brother and I manage most of the things ourselves. We do not have a big staff or anything like that. People from the neighborhood drop by mostly. Sometimes they just want to ask questions about how things work. I usually have a stack of newspapers on the front desk that are a few days old. The floor is white tile but it gets dirty fast with all the feet coming in and out. We do not use any fancy computer systems for our records, just a big ledger book and some pens that always seem to run out of ink when you need them. It is a quiet existence for the most part. We try to be helpful when someone walks through the door. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people still find us. It is just a normal day-to-day business operation. We close up around eight usually and then I walk home. The neighborhood has changed a lot but we have stayed right here on the ground floor.
