M & L Aluminium Fabricators is based at Shop No. 4-A 3 in the D.D.A Market in Janakpuri. It’s a local market so it has that familiar feel where you know the guy at the hardware store and the person selling tea. Our shop is often filled with bits of metal and tools scattered around. It’s a working shop, not a showroom. We spend most of our time measuring and cutting things. It gets pretty loud with the sound of the saws, so we don't do much talking while the machines are on. Janakpuri is a lively area and the D.D.A Market is always full of people looking for one thing or another. We have been in this shop for years now. The floor is concrete and usually covered in a bit of metal dust. We don't have any fancy mission statements or marketing talk. We just take the orders and get to work. It’s a straightforward way to live. Some days are long, especially when there is a lot to finish, but we just get on with it. We don't worry about being polished or sounding corporate. We are just M & L Aluminium Fabricators and we have our small spot in the market. People know where we are if they need us. We like the honesty of working with our hands in a place like Janakpuri. It’s just how we do things.
