Leo King Electronics

If you go to the Old Lajpat Rai Market in Chandni Chowk, you’ll find us at shop number 267. Leo King Electronics has been in this spot for years. It’s an incredibly crowded market, and our shop is pretty small. We have shelves packed all the way to the ceiling with electronic components and gadgets. It’s a bit dark inside because the shop is deep and narrow. We usually have a few fans running to keep the air moving. Chandni Chowk is always a chaotic place with rickshaws and people everywhere. We see hundreds of faces every day. We don't have a fancy display or anything like that. People usually come to us because they know we have that one specific part they can't find anywhere else. Most of the day is spent digging through boxes for customers. My father started this place, and I’ve been working here since I was a kid. It’s a lot of manual work, counting pieces and writing out receipts by hand. We don't use much technology for the business itself, which is funny since we sell electronics. We prefer the old way of doing things. It’s noisy and there’s never enough space, but we like being in the heart of the market. It’s just how things are at shop 267. We stay open late most nights because that's when it gets even busier. There is always tea being passed around from the stall next door.
