L & S Fabrics

We are located at Shop No-E-45 in the Central Market over in Lajpat Nagar II. It’s right on Dr Deen Dyal Verma Marg. If you’ve ever been to Lajpat Nagar, you know how crowded and loud it gets on a daily basis. There’s always someone shouting or a rickshaw honking right outside the door. L & S Fabrics is full of rolls of cloth from floor to ceiling. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is kept. We spend our days measuring out meters of fabric and cutting them for customers who walk in. We get all sorts of people coming in, from tailors to folks just looking for something to make curtains with for their homes. It’s a fast pace, and you have to be quick on your feet. My brother and I run the place mostly. We’ve been in this market for a long time, so we’ve seen shops come and go over the years. It’s a lot of standing around, and the lights are very bright, but we like talking to the regulars who come by. We don't do any big advertising. People just see the shop when they’re walking through the market looking for a deal. Sometimes it’s so busy you can barely move inside, especially during the wedding seasons. We just keep folding and stacking and helping the next person in line. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going and pays the bills.
