L & Q Surveys Pvt. Ltd. is based out of Shora Kothi in the Pahar Ganj area. Specifically, we are at Xv-5352/A. If you know Pahar Ganj, you know how crowded and lively it can be. There are narrow lanes and people everywhere and it can be a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with the place. Our office in Shora Kothi is tucked away in all that energy. It’s not a large space but it fits all our survey tools and maps just fine. We spend a lot of time out in the field but this is where we come back to write everything down and sort through the data. The building has that old Delhi feel to it, which is nice in a way even if the stairs are a bit steep. There is always the smell of street food from the vendors nearby and the sound of horns honking. It is a very real place to work. We don't have a receptionist or a coffee machine that makes lattes. We just have our desks and our equipment. Being at Xv-5352/A is just what we are used to. Surveys take a lot of patience and being in a busy place like Pahar Ganj keeps us grounded. We just do our work, manage our files, and try to navigate the crowds every day. It is a bit of a scramble sometimes but we manage to get through it without too much trouble.
