Our place is at Plot No 623 in Arya Mohalla. It is right in Nangloi, very close to the bus stop. You can see the people waiting for the bus from our front door. It is a family thing, started a long time ago. We mostly deal with what needs doing on any given day. The building is old but it stays cool enough in the shade. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They are more like family than workers at this point. There is always noise from the street, people shouting and horns honking. It is just the way Arya Mohalla is. We don't spend much on painting the walls or making it look pretty. Most of the space is taken up by stock and old files. We use a small table for tea breaks in the afternoon. Usually, my son is here helping out with the orders. We don't use computers for everything, still like to write things down in the register. It feels more real that way. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoons, so we sit outside for a bit and talk to the neighbors. We know most of the shopkeepers around here. It is a tight community. If you are looking for us, just ask anyone near the bus stop. They will point you toward the green gate. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we head home to rest. It is a long day but it is what we know.
