Kaur Welfare Foundation

Kaur Welfare Foundation is located at Shop Number 396 right in the middle of Transport Nagar. It’s a busy area with a lot of trucks and noise, but that’s where the people are, so that is where we stayed. The shop isn’t very big, and we have to keep the door shut mostly because of the dust from the road. Inside, it’s just a couple of tables and some chairs where we talk to people who stop by. Most of the folks who come in are drivers or workers from the nearby warehouses. We help out with whatever they need, whether it’s filling out forms or dealing with health issues. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that keeps the air moving a little. We don’t really have a set schedule; if the lights are on, we are usually inside working. We’ve been part of Transport Nagar for a long time. People know us here. We aren't interested in being fancy or looking like a big corporation. We just want to be available to the guys working on the trucks. Sometimes we share tea with whoever is visiting. It’s a simple setup, but it serves the purpose. If you’re looking for shop 396, just look for the row of shops near the main entry gate. We are the ones with the plain blue door. It isn't much to look at, but we are always here doing the work every single day.
