Our college is located out in Narela, Delhi, which is a bit of a journey from the center of the city. Being in the 110040 area means we have a lot of space, and the campus feels quite open compared to the crowded streets of New Delhi. The building is a solid, functional structure with plenty of rooms for the different classes we offer. Students come in from all over the surrounding districts, and the place really hums with activity during the middle of the day. We are not a fancy institution with high-end decor. Our hallways are plain, and the furniture is built to last rather than to look stylish. The library is one of the quieter spots where we spend time organizing books and helping students find what they need. The staff works out of a shared office that is usually piled high with assignments and textbooks. We do not use a lot of corporate talk here; we just speak plainly about what needs to be done each day. Sometimes the power cuts out for a short while, and we just wait it out or move things along as best as we can. It is a very real, working environment. We focus on the lectures and the exams without making a big fuss about things. The guard at the front gate knows most of the faces coming in and out, and that’s the kind of place we are. We just keep things moving forward.
