Kanwalia & Co. (Chartered Accountants)

You can find Kanwalia & Co. over at F-54 in Moti Nagar. It’s a regular neighborhood office where we do our accounting work. We’ve been here in New Delhi for a while now, helping folks with their taxes and audits. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s just us in a small space, surrounded by cabinets full of folders and old records. Moti Nagar is usually quite busy, so there’s always something going on outside our door. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away at the keyboards. Accounting isn’t exactly exciting for most people, but it’s what we do every day. We handle the GST stuff, income tax filings, and whatever else the government requires. Some days are longer than others, especially when the end of the financial year gets close. We don't have any fancy signs or big lobbies. People just know where we are and come in when they need their books looked at. It’s honest work, and we try to keep things simple. We talk to our clients like normal people, not using a bunch of jargon that nobody understands. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of staples, but we get by. It’s just a local office doing local work for the people around here. We like the area and the people who drop by to drop off their documents. We just do the math and keep the records straight.
