Kairoli General Shop

Kairoli General Shop is right on the main road in Dilshad Garden, at N-26/A. Being on the main road means we see a lot of people every day, from students going to school to people coming home from work in the evenings. We sell all the usual stuff you would expect to find in a general store, like biscuits, soaps, and daily groceries. The shop is fairly small, so we keep the most popular items near the front so people can grab them quickly. It gets really busy in the evenings when everyone is trying to get their shopping done before dinner time. Sometimes the delivery guys leave boxes on the sidewalk because there is not enough room inside the shop, and we have to move them as fast as we can. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights to attract people. It is just a local shop where we know which brand of tea a customer likes or if they prefer a specific type of bread. We have been here long enough that we feel like a part of the daily routine for a lot of families around here. We do not have a big staff, it is mostly just us working behind the counter. There is nothing special about how we do things; we just try to keep the shelves full and the shop open on time every single morning. It is steady work and it keeps us connected.
