Journey Of Spices

Journey Of Spices is tucked away in B-106 of the Shri Ganesh Apartments in Dilshd Colony. Our spot is on the UG-1 level, so it’s easy enough to find once you get inside the gate. Being in a residential apartment building means things are a bit different than a standard office block. We share the space with the sounds of families and kids playing outside. The air inside always smells like a mix of cardamom and pepper because that’s what we do. We spend a lot of time sitting around the main table sorting through bags of spices and checking the quality. It’s not a high-tech operation; we mostly use our hands and a few simple scales. The apartment itself is a bit small, so we have to be very careful about where we stack the boxes. Sometimes the delivery guys have trouble finding the right block, so we end up walking out to the main gate to meet them. We don't have any shiny brochures or fancy websites. Most people just know us from the neighborhood or find our address on the spice packets. We drink a lot of tea while we work, usually with some of our own ginger mixed in. On rainy days, the colony gets a bit muddy, but we stay busy inside. It’s an honest way to spend the day, just making sure the spices are ready for whoever needs them. We like the local feel of the place.
