Janaindica Foundation

Our office is on the ground floor at E-33, Paschimi Marg. Vasant Vihar is a nice place, though parking can be a real headache if you come late in the morning. We chose the ground floor because it is easier for people to just walk in without having to deal with stairs or a lift that might not be working. Janaindica Foundation is basically just us trying to make things a bit better around here. We spend a lot of time on our computers and talking on the phone. The office has a few desks and some plants that I forget to water sometimes. It is not very big, but it serves us well. Most of the time, the street outside is quiet, which is good for concentration. We have a small kitchen area where we make way too much chai. People from the nearby blocks stop by sometimes to ask about what we are working on. We do not have any big speeches ready, we just tell them what is happening that week. It is a simple setup really. No fancy furniture or glass walls. We just wanted a place where we could sit and get to work without much fuss. The location is easy to find once you get onto Paschimi Marg. We have been here for a bit now and it feels like home. It gets a bit chilly in the winter, so we all wear heavy sweaters while we type away. Sometimes we order food from the local market and eat together at the main table.
