Ishtihaar

Working from Office Number 511 in the Surya Kiran Building puts us right in the middle of everything at Connaught Place. Being on 19 Kasturba Gandhi Marg means there’s always a crowd outside and finding parking is a nightmare, but that’s just Delhi for you. The office is up on the fifth floor, and the view of the city streets is actually quite good when you take a minute to look. Ishtihaar is a place where we deal with a lot of phone calls and paperwork. It’s a typical professional space but without the stiff atmosphere you find in some of the bigger firms nearby. The desks are covered in folders, and the coffee machine is probably the most important piece of equipment we own. We spend a lot of time talking to each other about different projects and trying to keep track of deadlines. It can get a bit frantic when several things are happening at once, but we manage. The building is old but has a certain character that you don't get in the newer parts of town. We usually head down to the street level for lunch because there are so many good food stalls around CP. It’s a busy life, and we are just one of the many offices in this big building trying to get our daily tasks finished before the evening rush.
