Ishant Spice

We are Ishant Spice, and you can find us in Shahdara, not too far from Durgapuri Chowk. This area is always buzzing with people and vehicles, so there is never a quiet moment at our shop. We have been working out of this location for several years now. The space isn't very large, so we have to be careful with how we stack the bags of spices. Usually, the smell of cumin or chili powder is quite strong as soon as you step inside. We don't have any fancy decorations or a big sign. It’s just a practical workspace where we spend our days weighing out portions and filling orders for the local vendors. My brother and I usually handle most of the work ourselves. We get the raw spices in big sacks and then we have to sort through them. It’s tedious work, but it has to be done right. Sometimes the traffic at Durgapuri Chowk makes it hard for the delivery trucks to reach us on time, so we end up waiting around quite a bit. We use that time to sweep the floor or catch up on the books. We aren't trying to build a global empire or anything. We just want to keep the business going and provide decent spices to the neighborhood. It’s a lot of honest work and long hours, but we are used to it by now. The neighborhood knows where to find us.
