Institute Of Career Studies

The Institute Of Career Studies is based at E 9 in Uttam Nagar. It is a busy part of the city, and our building is right in the middle of all that noise. We have a few rooms set up for classes. Usually, there are students coming in and out at all hours. Some are looking for help with exams, and others want to learn some new skills for their resumes. The furniture is basic, mostly just wooden chairs and long tables. We have a whiteboard in every room that is permanently stained with old marker ink. It’s not a fancy school with a big campus. It is just a floor in a building where people come to study. The hallway is narrow, so it gets a bit jammed when one class is ending and another is starting. I’ve worked here for a while now, and the routine is always the same. We open up early, sweep the floors, and get the registers ready. Sometimes the bells don't work, so we just shout down the hall when it's time to switch. It is a very practical place. People don't come here for the atmosphere; they come because they want to get ahead. We try to keep the books organized, but they usually end up in a mess by Friday afternoon. That is just how it is here in Uttam Nagar. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just helping people get through their courses and find a way into a better job.
