Indra Rani Welfare Foundation

We are located at Shop No-7 in Sector-3 of R K Puram. It’s more of a local shop front than a big corporate office, which suits the Indra Rani Welfare Foundation just fine. R K Puram is a pretty established residential area, so we see a lot of familiar faces walking by every day. The shop itself is small, but we’ve managed to fit a couple of desks and some chairs for visitors. It’s nice being on the ground level because people can just pop their heads in if they need something. There’s a bit of a veranda out front where some of the neighbors like to stand and chat when the weather is decent. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations. Most of our space is taken up by files and the usual stationery you’d expect. The lighting is a bit dim towards the back of the shop, but we have a lamp for that. During the afternoons, the sun hits the front glass quite hard, so we usually have to pull the shades halfway down. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main markets in Delhi. We spend most of our time keeping track of the paperwork and answering the phone. It’s a humble setup, but it works for what we do. There’s a grocery store a few doors down where we get our snacks. It’s just a normal day-to-day life for us here.
