Indian Institute Of Technology

We are located on the Hauz Khas Main Road, which is always busy with cars and people. The Indian Institute Of Technology is a pretty big place, but we try to keep things grounded as much as we can. It is a lot of old brick buildings and trees that have been here for many decades. You see students walking around with heavy backpacks all the time. It is a lot of hard work here, and the lights in the labs are often on until very late at night. We do not have much time for fancy talk because the subjects are difficult enough as it is. Everything is about solving problems and seeing what works. The workshops have that smell of oil and metal, which some of us really like. It is not a polished corporate office; it is a place where things are built and tested. Sometimes experiments fail, and we just have to try again the next morning. The canteen is the main spot where everyone catches up, and the food is just okay, nothing special really. We have seen the area around Hauz Khas change a lot over the years, but the institute stays pretty much the same. It is a bit like a small city inside the city. We just keep focusing on the math and the science, day in and day out, without making a big fuss.
