Indian Institute Of Mass Communication

Our place is located in N-6, Ghaffar Manzil Extension, right in Haji Colony. New Delhi can be a bit overwhelming, but this corner is where we do our thing. We’re the Indian Institute of Mass Communication branch here. It’s mostly offices and some teaching spaces. We have a lot of students coming in and out, talking about news and media. The building itself is older, with some character to it. We don’t have fancy lobby furniture or anything like that. It’s just practical. The halls are usually filled with the sound of people discussing projects. Since we are in 110025, it’s a specific part of the city people know well. We deal with a lot of mail and documents related to communication studies. Sometimes the printer jams and we have to fix it ourselves. It's a hands-on kind of environment. People here are busy, but they usually have a minute to point you in the right direction. We try to keep the place tidy, though with so many people it's a challenge. We are right there in the middle of Haji Colony, so there's always life happening outside the doors. It’s a good spot for what we do. No big logos or flashing lights, just a sign on the door. We work hard to stay on top of the schedule. It feels like a small community inside this building. We’re just regular people trying to help students understand the media world.
