Indian Institute For Production Management

The Indian Institute For Production Management is based out of 48 Surya Kiran Apartment in D Block, Vikaspuri, New Delhi 110018. It might seem a bit unusual to have an institute in an apartment building, but it actually works out quite well for us. It keeps things feeling more personal and less like a giant school. We focus on teaching people the ins and outs of how production works. This means we talk a lot about factories, assembly lines, and how to make sure everything moves smoothly from start to finish. Our rooms are filled with books and some old manuals that we still find useful today. The people who come here are usually looking to improve their skills so they can get better jobs in manufacturing. We don't have a big cafeteria or a gym, just some rooms where we sit down and get into the details of management. Vikaspuri is a decent area to be in, and the D Block market is nearby if we need to get supplies. We don't really do the whole polished academic talk. We just tell our students how it is in the real world based on what we’ve seen in the industry. It’s about being practical and learning the steps that actually matter on the shop floor. We’ve been training people here for a while and we plan to keep doing it for many more years to come.
