Humans For Environment & Life On Earth Foundation

Our office at Humans For Environment & Life On Earth Foundation is a bit tricky to find if you aren't from around here. We are in Shashi Garden, specifically at Munshi Ram B-89, private number 05. It’s the old number 33 building on the second floor, right above Gali No 10. It’s a busy neighborhood in East Delhi, and things can get pretty loud with all the families and traffic nearby. We focus on the basics of keeping the environment habitable for the people living right here. It’s not just about the planet in a big abstract way, but about the air our neighbors breathe and the water we use. We spend a lot of our time just talking to the people on our street about small changes. It isn't always easy to convince someone to change their habits when they have a lot on their plate. Our space is small and usually filled with stacks of papers and some old chairs. We don't have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find one of us drinking tea and trying to organize the next community cleanup or workshop. It’s hard work and the results come slow, but we live here too, so we have a stake in it. We just want this little corner of Delhi to be a bit healthier for everyone’s kids. Most days it's just about getting through the to-do list together.
