Himanshu General Store

Himanshu General Store is located right here in Sagarpur Main Gali No.8. It is a busy little spot where we keep all the daily things people might need for their homes. I start the day early, sweeping the front and getting the milk crates inside before the sun gets too high. We have shelves full of sugar, various lentils, soaps, and those small packets of biscuits that the kids like so much. The shop is a bit small, so things are stacked quite high. Sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle to find a specific brand of tea if it’s tucked in the back. The neighbors stop by not just to buy things, but often just to say hello or talk about the weather. It gets quite dusty because of the road outside, so I’m always wiping down the counters. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a regular store where you can get your kitchen supplies without any fuss. Some days are very busy, especially in the evenings when people are coming home and realize they forgot to buy salt or oil. Then there are times when it’s so quiet I can hear the clock ticking on the wall. I’ve lived around here for a long time, so the shop feels like a second home to me. We just try to keep the basics in stock so nobody has to go too far for their groceries. I hope the fan keeps working through the summer heat.
