Higher Secondary School Gorasi

The Higher Secondary School Gorasi is tucked away in E Block of East Of Kailash. If you know Delhi, you know this area is always a bit crowded with cars parked everywhere. We share some space near the Nursery School, which means there is usually the sound of younger kids playing nearby in the mornings. It’s a bit of a contrast to the older students we usually deal with. The building itself is an older one, the kind you find throughout South Delhi, with stairs that have seen better days. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy decorations here. Most of our rooms are just filled with the usual school stuff like benches and old blackboards. Being in Delhi - 110065 means we are close to everything, but the traffic on the inner roads can be a headache for the staff getting here. We mostly just keep to our routine. There is a small corner where we keep the water cooler and that’s where most of the gossip happens during the ten-minute tea breaks. We try to keep the place organized, but with so many students and papers flying around, it’s always a bit of a mess. It’s a working school, not a showroom. We’ve seen many batches pass through these doors, and the neighborhood has changed around us, but the school stays pretty much the same. It is just a regular spot for local education.
