You can find us at 23 A in the Kamla Nagar area of Delhi. It’s a very lively part of town, especially with all the students from the nearby university walking around. We are a design school, so our space is more like a set of workshops than traditional classrooms. We have long tables for drawing and different tools that the students use for their projects. It isn’t a very big or polished place. You will often see rolls of fabric, sketches, and bits of material scattered around the rooms. We like to keep it that way because it shows people are actually working. The building itself is an older one and has its own quirks, like doors that squeak or windows that are hard to open. We don't have a fancy lobby or a corporate feel at all. It’s just a place where people come to learn the craft of design. The teachers are usually busy showing someone how to cut a pattern or use a specific software. Since Kamla Nagar is a major market area, it’s easy for our students to go out and find the supplies they need for their work. We deal with the usual daily issues like the noise from the street or the occasional power cut. It is an honest, hardworking atmosphere. We just provide the space and the guidance for people who want to create things. It is a very hands-on way of learning.
