Happy Street Dogs Foundation

Our place is in Village Tatarpur, which is right by Rajouri Garden. We have been at T-71 for a while now. The Happy Street Dogs Foundation is basically what the name says. We spend our time thinking about the dogs on the street. It’s a busy neighborhood and there are always animals around. The office isn't much to look at, just a regular space with some dog food bags in the corner and a few old leashes hanging up. It can get a bit loud with the street noise and the occasional barking, but we are used to it by now. The locals know us as the people who look after the strays. We don't have a big corporate setup. It is more like a group of friends who decided to do something. Sometimes the internet is slow and we struggle with the paperwork, but we get through it. There is always a lot of cleaning to do. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just show up every morning, check on the local packs, and handle the admin stuff from this little spot in New Delhi. It is tiring work and our clothes usually have a bit of dog hair on them, but that is just how it is. We stay busy and try to make sense of the daily chaos here in Tatarpur. The village atmosphere is different from the main city, and we like that. It feels more real, even if the roads are a bit narrow for the vans.
