Our location is 4115 Nizam Ul Mulk Street, right in the middle of Urdu Bazar near Jama Masjid in Old Delhi. If you know that area, you know it’s one of the busiest places you can find. There are books everywhere and the smell of food from the nearby stalls. We are in a building that has seen a lot of years. It’s not a wide-open campus like you might see in pictures of newer places. It’s more of an urban spot, very much part of the city’s heart. We have our offices and rooms here. It gets very loud outside with all the rickshaws and people talking. Sometimes it’s hard to hear yourself think if the windows are open. But it’s a place with a lot of character. We don't have a fancy lobby with a fountain. It’s just stairs and hallways and rooms where we do our work. Being near Jama Masjid means there is always a crowd. The street outside is so narrow that cars can barely pass each other. It’s mostly rickshaws and motorbikes zipping around. We have a small cooler for water in the corner that leaks a little bit, so we keep a rag under it. These are the small things we deal with every day. The walls are thick, which helps keep some of the heat out during the peak of summer. We don't have much in the way of art on the walls, just a few notices and a clock that’s five minutes fast. We keep it that way so we aren't late for things. It’s just a normal, busy office in a very old city.
