H L Dawar & Sons

Our office is up on the first floor of Harsh Bhawan, which is right near the IFCI Tower in Nehru Place. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded it gets. H L Dawar & Sons is just a small family setup among all the big glass buildings. It’s Office No. 102/64-65. Inside, it’s mostly just desks piled high with papers and a couple of computers that have been running for years. We do a lot of the clerical and trade work that keeps things moving behind the scenes. It’s a bit of a maze getting through the hallways sometimes, especially when the elevators are slow. My sons help me out with the daily tasks now. We spend most of our time on the phone or filling out forms for clients. It isn’t very exciting work, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in this same spot for decades, watching the shops around us change every few years. The tea stall downstairs knows us by name because we’re there every afternoon. We don’t have a big corporate philosophy or anything like that. We just come in, do the paperwork, and try to get home before the traffic gets too bad. It’s a steady life in a very loud part of the city. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a few plastic chairs for anyone who drops by to talk business.
