Grateful Child Welfare Foundation

People mostly know us from around West Sagar Pur. We're right by the Kailash cement store on Madanpuri, which is usually a busy spot. Grateful Child Welfare Foundation started because we saw a need in this neighborhood for kids who don't have much. We aren't a big fancy office with glass doors or anything like that. Just some rooms where we try to get things done. Most of the time, we’re dealing with school supplies or making sure children have a safe place to go after their classes are over. It gets pretty loud around here during the day with all the traffic and people coming and going. Sometimes it feels like we’re always playing catch-up, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with the local community. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who grew up around New Delhi and wanted to stay local. Dealing with the paperwork can be a headache, but seeing the kids actually get what they need makes the long hours worth it. We've been at RZ 24 for a good bit now. If you’re walking down from the main road, you can’t miss the cement store nearby. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals know where we are. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day. We are just simple people trying to help out in our own way in the 110046 area.
