Govt. Middle School

Our school is tucked away at 11, Street No 14 in Shastri Nagar East. If you know the Delhi streets around here, you know it’s a tight-knit area. We are a middle school, so we deal with the kids who are just starting to grow up a bit more. The building is right there among the houses and shops, making it very much a part of the local life. In the mornings, you see the students walking down Street 14 with their bags, often stopping to talk to neighbors. The classrooms are basic, just the essentials really. We have a lot of paperwork to keep up with, and the teachers are usually busy moving from one room to another. It isn’t a quiet place by any means. Between the kids talking and the sounds from the street, there is always some noise. We’ve got the usual school furniture that’s seen better days, but it serves the purpose. We don't have a lot of extra space, so every corner of the building gets used for something. Sometimes we have to move things around to make room for meetings or events. Being in East Delhi, we get a lot of kids from the nearby blocks. Everyone knows everyone else, so it feels very familiar. We just focus on the daily schedule, getting through the lessons, and making sure the building is locked up properly at the end of the afternoon. It’s a regular school day, every day.
