You can find us at H. No- 30/15, tucked away in Gali No-10 of Vishwas Nagar. Shadhara is a busy place, and our street is no different. We started Global Handloom And Crafts Foundation because we actually care about the people making things with their hands. It’s getting harder for weavers and craftspeople to keep going these days, so we try to help out where we can. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular house where we keep samples and talk to visitors. There's usually a lot of noise from the street outside, but inside we’re focused on the threads and the fabrics. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s just about making sure these traditional skills don't just disappear. Sometimes we have piles of cloth everywhere, and it gets a bit cramped. People come in from the neighborhood just to chat or show us something they’ve made. We like that. It feels like we are part of the community here in North East Delhi. We don’t have a fancy marketing team. It’s just us, some chairs, and a lot of respect for the work. If you find yourself in Vishwas Nagar, you’ll probably see us. We’re just the people trying to keep the old ways of making things alive in a world that’s moving a bit too fast for its own good.
