Gem Plastics

We are over at 3/18-A in the Kirti Nagar Industrial Area. Gem Plastics is basically a workshop where we deal with all kinds of plastic materials. This area is full of timber shops and furniture makers, so there is always the sound of saws and hammers nearby. Our building is a simple concrete structure with a big metal shutter that we pull up every morning at eight. It’s not a very pretty place, but it serves its purpose. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of shelves and a couple of tables where we pack things up. We don’t have a receptionist or a waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back working on an order. We’ve been here for quite a while now and have seen the industrial area change quite a bit. My partners and I do most of the heavy lifting ourselves. We aren't big on technology or fancy systems; we prefer writing things down in our notebooks so we don't forget. Sometimes the neighbors drop by to borrow a tool or just to see how we’re doing. It’s a good environment to work in. We aren't looking to expand into a giant corporation. We just want to keep doing what we’re doing, making sure the orders are accurate and getting them out the door on time. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
