Our office for G.D. Goenka Tourism Corp. Ltd. is right in the heart of things at N-86, Connaught Place. Being in CP means it is always noisy and there are always people walking past the windows at all hours. It’s a very old part of New Delhi, but it’s where everything happens. We handle tourism stuff from this location. It’s a lot of planning and talking to people about where they want to go for their holidays. We are not one of those big flashy travel agencies with huge posters and bright lights everywhere. We just have our desks here in this historic building and we work through the bookings day by day. Connaught Place has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. Sometimes it is hard to find parking or the Metro is too crowded, but being central makes it easy for people to find us. We don't use any fancy marketing talk or big promises about being the best. We just tell people what is available and help them figure out their trips. It’s a lot of computer work and phone calls, to be honest. The office is a bit worn in, which we actually like because it feels like a real place where work gets done. We are just G.D. Goenka, doing our tourism work in the middle of the city and trying to keep things organized as best as we can.
