Ganesh Printing Press

You can find Ganesh Printing Press in the basement of Plot No. F-122 on Shaheed Jeet Singh Marg. It's right in Katwaria Sarai, not too far from the Kutub Hotel. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, but it can get quite damp when it rains heavily in Delhi. The stairs are a bit steep, so you have to watch your step coming down. We have several old printing machines that make a lot of noise when they are all running at once. The smell of ink is everywhere, it even gets into your clothes. We handle a lot of small jobs for the local students and the shops around here. There’s always paper dust floating in the air. We keep the place as tidy as we can, but with all the cutting and trimming, there are always scraps on the floor. It’s a busy little spot. We don't have fancy lighting, just some long tubelights that flicker sometimes. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big batch of flyers or books. The chai stall upstairs is where we spend our breaks. It’s a simple life of ink and paper. We don't really have a front office, just a counter where people drop off their files. It’s been this way for years and we are used to the rhythm of the machines. We just work until the last job of the day is done.
