Friends Provision Store

Our shop is located at 948 C/1 on Nehru Road in the Arjun Nagar area of Kotla Mubarakpur. It's a typical corner store where we keep all the daily essentials like milk, bread, and various pulses. I spend most of my day behind the counter, weighing things out and chatting with the neighbors who come in for their morning supplies. The shelves are packed tight, sometimes things even spill over a bit because we try to keep everything anyone might ask for. It’s not one of those big supermarkets where you get lost. Here, you just tell me what you need and I grab it for you. The street outside is usually full of bikes and people walking by, so it gets quite loud during the evenings. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the store stays mostly the same. We open up early and stay till late because that's when most people finish their work and realize they forgot to buy something for dinner. I know most of the faces that walk through the door by now. Sometimes we run out of a specific brand, but we usually have something else that works. It’s a busy little spot. We don't use any fancy computer systems for billing, just a simple notebook and a calculator. It works fine for us and our customers don't seem to mind the wait. I keep a stool behind the counter for when things slow down, but that doesn't happen often.
