About Film Television Institute – Education in New Delhi
The Film Television Institute is over in Mayur Vihar Phase I, specifically at E-29/1. If you know that part of Delhi, you know it can get pretty crowded. The building is just a regular structure on a street that sees a lot of foot traffic. Inside E-29/1, things are pretty functional. We have some equipment and rooms for the students to use. It isn't a flashy place with glass walls or anything. It's more about the actual work of learning how TV and film operate. The hallways are a bit narrow and you often have to squeeze past someone carrying a tripod. There’s a lot of talking going on because everyone is trying to collaborate on something. On some mornings, it’s quiet before the sessions start, but that doesn't last long. The Mayur Vihar area has plenty of spots to grab a quick snack, so people are always running out and coming back with packets of food. We’ve been at this Phase I location for a while. The signage outside isn't very big, so you have to keep an eye out for the E-29/1 number. The floors are a bit scuffed from all the boots and gear being dragged around. It feels like a lived-in space. Most people who come here are just focused on their projects. It’s a practical environment for anyone interested in the media world. There is usually someone around until the gate closes at night. I think there is some old film equipment stored in the back rooms too.
