You can find us over in Naraina, specifically in Phase-II at Loha Mandi. Our space is on the second floor of Y-198-199/34. Being in the iron market area means it’s always loud and there are trucks moving things around all day long. It’s a real working-class neighborhood. The Federation Of Self Help Groups And Women Entrepreneurs Of Inda is based here because we want to be right in the middle of where people are actually working. We have women coming in and out all the time, talking about their small businesses or how they can get a group together to save money. The office isn't anything special to look at. We’ve got some old desks and a lot of tea gets made throughout the day. It’s a bit dusty because of the industrial area outside, but that’s just how it is. We don’t go in for fancy titles or corporate meetings. Usually, it’s just a bunch of us sitting around, trying to figure out how to help a new member get her products noticed or how to fix a problem with some paperwork. It’s a busy, noisy place, but it feels like things are actually getting done. We are just a local group trying to support women who are trying to build something for themselves. It’s hard work, but being here in Naraina makes it feel real.
