Evidence Action India Foundation

Evidence Action India Foundation is based in the basement of A-16/9 in Vasant Vihar. This is in South West Delhi, an area that’s usually quite calm and full of trees. Our office is a bit different though, being in a basement. It stays nice and cool during the hot Delhi summers, but we don't get much natural light, so we have to keep the lamps on all day. We’ve been here for a while now. It’s a good spot because we can get to other parts of the city fairly easily, even though the traffic on the outer ring road is often a mess. We don't have big logos on the walls or a fancy reception desk. It’s just a bunch of desks, some computers, and shelves full of files. It’s a very hardworking place. Most of our time is spent looking at spreadsheets or talking to people on the phone. People often walk right past the gate because it just looks like a normal house entrance. We like that it’s low-key. We don't see the need for anything flashy or promotional. Sometimes it feels a bit tight when the whole team is in, but we get by. We have a small fan that hums in the corner and someone is always making coffee in the small pantry. It’s a practical, no-nonsense setup in a nice part of the city, and we just focus on getting things done.
