Our place is tucked away in Sector 16 of Rohini. If you know Delhi, you know how these sectors are laid out. We are at D3/72, which is basically a regular building that we’ve turned into a learning space. It’s always a bit noisy outside with the traffic and people going about their business. Inside, we try to keep things focused on the engineering work. We don't have a huge campus with trees and parks, we just have the rooms we need. Space is tight in this part of town, so every corner is used for something, whether it’s storing old computers or setting up a small lab. The students are mostly from around North Delhi. They come in and out all day, usually complaining about the metro or the heat. We’ve been here for several years now. It started as a small idea to help local kids get their degrees without going across the city. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our students come because their brothers or cousins studied here before. The faculty is just a group of people who enjoy the subject. We drink a lot of chai and spend hours talking about technical problems. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with papers everywhere, but it feels real. We just do our work and go home like everyone else. That’s the reality of running a small college in the city.
