At Divya Education Institute, things are pretty straightforward. We are over at E-52 in Sarojini Nagar. It is an old building but it serves us well for what we do. Most days, I am here by eight in the morning to open up the shutters and let some air in. The place is filled with stacks of papers and old registers that we use to keep track of everyone. Sarojini Nagar is a busy place, so there is always a lot of movement outside our door. We’ve got a few classrooms set up with basic benches and tables. It’s not fancy at all, just a place for people to sit and learn what they need to. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time for that yet. Mostly, we are just busy helping people with their forms or explaining different subjects to them. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to open the windows and keep going. People from around the neighborhood know the E-52 address well. They just drop in when they have questions. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns sitting at the front desk. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time, apart from the noise of the traffic from the main road nearby. We've been in this spot for a good while and don't plan on moving anywhere else.
