Distance Education School

Nehru Place is known for being a hub of activity in Delhi, and we are right in the middle of it. Our office for the Distance Education School is at Unit No. 1 on the third floor of the Vardhman Trade Centre. It is a busy building in a very busy part of town. We spend our time helping people who want to learn but cannot always make it to a traditional classroom. Being in Nehru Place means there is always something going on outside our windows. We have students coming in to ask about different courses or to pick up their materials, and we try to give them the right information without making it complicated. We are not a big university with a huge green campus; we are an office that handles the practical side of distance learning. The third floor stays pretty active with people coming in and out of the Vardhman Trade Centre all day long. We have our desks set up to handle all the registrations and queries that come through. It is a lot of coordinating between different programs and making sure the students know exactly what they need to do. We do not use a lot of fancy academic language. We just talk to people like they are our neighbors. It is a good place to work, even if the elevators are sometimes a bit slow. We are just here doing our part to help people.
