Designine

Our workspace at Designine is located in Kangda Mohalla, which is right near the Tughlakabad Fort. It is an interesting spot because you have all that history right there, but we are inside working on modern designs and computer screens. Being near the I. C. D Depot in Okhla Phase 1 means there is always a lot of traffic and the sound of heavy trucks in the background. The Mohalla itself is quite tight, so finding a place to park is always a bit of a headache for us and the people who visit. We have a few desks squeezed into our office, and there are usually sketches and notes stuck all over the walls. It is not a very big place, but it works for what we do. We spend a lot of time staring at monitors and talking about colors or layouts for hours. Sometimes we walk over toward the fort just to get some air and get away from the screens for a bit. The area is a mix of old homes and small businesses, so it feels very lived-in. It can get a bit messy with all the paper and cables lying around, but that is just how we work. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby, so people just walk right in and see us at our desks. It is a practical setup in a busy part of Delhi where things are always happening. We just focus on the drawings and getting them finished.
