Deepsha Foundation

Deepsha Foundation is located in Mubarakpur Extn Village. We are at House No 52, which is part of Khasra No 21/11. It’s a ground floor setup, which is lucky because it gets hot in the summer and the ground floor stays a bit cooler. We’ve been part of this village area for a while now. It’s a bit different from the main parts of Delhi, but we like it that way. The foundation was started by a few of us who just wanted to see some improvements around here. We aren't a big organization with offices all over the city. We just have this one spot in Mubarakpur. Sometimes the roads around here aren't the best, especially when it rains, but we still make it in every day. Our work is pretty straightforward. We look at what’s missing in the community and try to fill those gaps. It’s not always about big projects. Sometimes it’s just helping someone fill out a form or giving some advice. We don't use a lot of complicated language. We just talk to people like we’re neighbors, because we are. The building is simple and we keep the door open most of the time. It’s a quiet life in some ways, but there is always plenty to do. We’re just glad to be here and doing our bit.
