Deepa Ardnareshwar Empowerment Foundation is based in West Patel Nagar. We have a ground floor spot at 35/10. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just stop by and say hello. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a while and we really like the community here. The foundation was set up to help people feel a bit more empowered in their lives. It’s a big word, but mostly it just means helping folks stand on their own two feet. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a big PR team. It’s just us working out of this space in New Delhi-110008. Some days it gets pretty crowded in here when everyone shows up at once. We try to keep things organized but it’s often a bit messy with all the projects we have going on. We talk to a lot of different people from all walks of life. Everyone has a story and we try to listen to as many as we can. It’s a lot of work and sometimes we feel pretty tired at the end of the day. But we wouldn't want to be doing anything else. Patel Nagar is a good place for this kind of work. We’re just regular people trying to make things a little better for our neighbors.
