Avon Surgico Pvt. Ltd. is situated at 18 Netaji Subhash Marg right in the heart of Darya Ganj. This is a very busy part of the city and there is always a crowd outside on the sidewalk. Our building is one of those older structures that has a lot of character and thick walls. Working here means you are right in the middle of all the action in Delhi. We have several rooms filled with surgical items and the hallway is often narrow because of the boxes we have ready to go. The windows look out onto the main road and you can see the traffic crawling by at almost any hour. It is a bit noisy but we like the energy of the area. We do not have any corporate-style reception area; instead, you usually walk right into where the work is happening. There are papers stacked on desks and the sound of tape dispensers is pretty common throughout the day. We have been at this Darya Ganj address for a long time and the shop has its own personality with the old wooden doors and the way the light hits the floor in the morning. It is a practical space for a practical business. We spend our hours checking invoices and making sure the inventory matches what we have on the shelves. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy. Sometimes we wonder how many people have walked past that front door over the decades.
