Our office is located in Tolstoy House, specifically in rooms 212 to 215. The building is at 17 Tolstoy Marg, right in the heart of New Delhi. It is an old, well-known building, so most people don't have much trouble finding it, though the traffic around Janpath and Connaught Place can be a real nightmare during peak hours. Inside Tolstoy House, the corridors have that classic old-office feel. We occupy a few rooms on the second floor. It’s a bit of a contrast to the busy streets outside once you get behind the door. Carl Zeiss India has been using this space for a while to handle the local side of things. We have our desks, some filing cabinets, and a small area for meetings. It’s not a large, sprawling corporate headquarters; it’s more of a functional hub for our team in the city. We spend a lot of time on the phones and working through our logs. The windows look out over the street, so we get a good view of the madness below. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls or anything like that. We just have our work to do and we get on with it. Lunch usually involves walking down to one of the many stalls or small eateries nearby. It is a convenient spot for us to be, even if the building is a bit dated compared to the new glass towers.
